Of a blue sky and ocean deep..and everything in between..

There are plenty of interesting activities you can do in Langkawi besides eating their local foods and sleeping on the resort's big pluffy bed. Either cultural, sight seeing, forest, animal park or free duty shops, Langkawi able to offer you more than what exactly you've googled!

1st, what you need is a wheel. Believe me, it will be much more cheaper than a taxi to bring you around the map. You can get a local car such as Kembara which costs you around RM80 or Toyota Camry for RM150 per day. It only costs me RM50.00 petrol for the whole 4d/3n! (Sala travel & Tours +604-966 7521 / 1528).

2nd - A Map. hehe. Seriously, Langkawi Island map is very easy to read. easier than reading or listening to your boring sound of GPS in the city ok?

Play a rabbit trainer at Animal Park @ Oriental Village. I didn't take the Cable Car ride cuz I assume it is all the same as in Genting Highland and Singapore one.

The rabbit was like "mommy, mommy.. can I have all of that carrot?"

Seriously, playing with such cute pluffy creatures make u feel 10 years younger and cuter by 60%. lol.

It is not cool if you didn't take any island hopping excursion while you're in Langkawi Island ok? For as low as USD10 / RM35.00 you manage to get at least 4 hours excursion, with a minimum of 3 interesting spot/island. You can always go to Pantai Cenang area, there will be a lot of travel agent along the streets offering you interesting and cheap island tour package.

I always wanted to go to Island of Pregnant Maiden a.k.a Pulau Dayang Bunting since I first read about its legend when I was in standard school.

**Ok, this picture wasn't mine. Taken from some other professional photographer which he obviously was inside chopper or something.

So I took the cheapest tour (since I don't have so much time left) for 4 hours consisting of Island of Pregnant Maiden, Eagle Feeding and Beras Basah Island via speed boat.

So the journey begin.

Before we been brought to each destination, the speed boat driver (is it correct to call them that or?) speeding around the islands, showing us the amazing view of few small islands and rock formation.

Then we stopped by here. Which was not even inside tour itinerary...wth..

here, u can see many types of colorful rare fishes, feeding them...

or even playing with a young Tiger Shark!

Grill or deep fried?

He told me this thing is one of the crab family. I'm not sure what it is.. but I think it's cute!

Forgive my fat ass ya.

Reached at the most anticipated spot!

What a happy family: You will be greeted by monkeys & baby monkeys! Beware: Don't carry any plastic contains food or snack. You will be attacked my these naughty creatures!

Very, very naughty indeed.

According to the Legend, this lake was the favorite bathing pool of a celestial princess named Mambang Sari was said to be Tasik Dayang Bunting (lake of the pregnant maiden). A prince, Mat Teja, fell madly in love with her and tricked her into marrying him.

Sadly, their child died from a mysterious illness at the age of seven days. Distraught, the grieving Mambang Sari left the child's body in the lake and returned to her heavenly abode. Today, some believe barren women who bathe in this lake will be endowed with a child. Many have claimed to be successful. - So, I don't dare to swim in ..yet.. worrying later I will get pregnant out of nowhere! :P

Dayang Bunting Lake is the largest lake in Langkawi. The outline of hills and rocky outcrops on one side of the lake resembles the shape of a pregnant maiden lying on her back.

Ok, I might be poor to rent a luxury yacht, so all I can afford was to rent this solar auto paddle boat for RM25 for 30 minutes ride. Hee..

At that time, I do wonder what if suddenly giant lake dragon emerged out from that calm water.. this solar boat can't save me since the speed was like ermmm..0.000015km per hour. Anyway, it was a total relaxing experience... I would come here again if I had a chance...

You can have a free fish spa at the lake jetty. Just dip your foot into this clear water, those fishes will happily tickles you till you pee your pant! Very geli ok...

Ok, they only let you to stay at the lake for about 1 hour. Then we move to the eagle feeding. this one I felt a bit cheated la. I really thought that they will let you feed the eagle with your own hand... u know.. u wearing that thick glove til the elbow length and hold some fresh meat for those eagles to snatch. It would be fuckingly awsome experience.. but....
...all they did were like,, threw some chicken skin into the water, and wait those eagles took a plunge into it. PPffttt. Very frustrating I tell u...
This is our last destination..
So I just play with the swing and soak into it's clear water for a while...

...end of tour.
Ah, talking about island, the seafood here is damn cheap lo. And again, you may go to Pantai Cenang, u will be spoilt with the varieties of seafood restaurant.

Love this mini beach pub.. love how they played bob marley song in acoustic...

Look at what we've had on our 2nd day, the restaurant looks cheap, but it has a good view, which is facing the beach;

I can't read thai's but I know it costs me freaking cheap!
3rd day, I decided to try something ... a bit expensive;
Nah, the one that I've had in Koh Samui is better.
They claimed that this dish is the one of their best seller.. but ermmm... was ok la. But I still figuring out how come it became best seller le?

Ok, this one I must tell you... was the lousiest fried ice cream I've ever had. Don't order this la.

Verdict: Good looking restaurant with full of Ang Mohs doesn't mean serves you tasty food more than cheap looking restaurant okay....
LAST BUT NOT LEAST!!!! Please visit those free duty shops!!!

Yeahhhh cheap chocolate babay!!!

Ok, next will be a serious dentist appointment and personal trainer...
till then, very tired.

Four Seasons in Tropical Island...

Yep. My boss already knew that he's not going to give me a break after this, so he granted me a long weekend getaway for my birthday.

This year I've decided to keep everything low, from Eid to my birthday celebration. No big party, no loud music, no booty shaking and no crowd which possibly could get me more birthday pressie. Thanks to the resort's management whom kind enough to host a memorable 3days/2nights birthday getaway - the hospitality, excellent room service (or should I say resort service?), mouth-watering dishes and the magnificient view, are more than I could ever wish for.

I was like a little queen, wrapped in cashmere, and tucked into a bed full of roses by heavenly mother nature - that is how they made me feel.

Forgive me for my limited vocabulary. I am ran out of beautiful words to describe how beautiful the experience with Four Seasons Resort, Langkawi.

1st when I stepped into this fortress, it felt like I was so lost in Samarkand and Sinbad will show up in no time.

But as you go further in, you will starting to feel the twist of arabic - indian - mauritius then tropical milieu.

Wahh.. looks like bridal shot pun ada.. heh. Perasan.

The place so peaceful & quiet.. just like a Forbidden Palace..

The reception area.

At Four Seasons Resort, they won't allow you to stand/sit waiting in line like other resorts. Once you in, you will be cosily seated at outer part of their reception counter, facing their large pool (the 1st picture), while enjoying sipping on the coolest, refreshing kaffir lime juice and a cold towel. A very lovely lady will come to accompany and chatting with you like she knew you for ages. You don't even feel like you waiting to be checked in...she smiles, you laughs and suddenly she handed you with small paper for you to sign as a confirmation that you are now checking into a man made heaven...

Before they take you into your pavillion, they will bring you around the resort with a buggy, showing you the spa building, gym area, pool, restaurants, access to their private beach and beautiful and beautiful landscapes.

Ikan - Ikan Restaurant

After some of Ohhh & aaahhhss (with mouth close, malu le), I finally get to see my room! No, Villa!

My unit is called Lower Melaleuca Pavillion, with the size of 732sq ft, with a lush view of tropical landscape right outside my door. Squirrels and colorful birds (which I never seen before) jumping and flying freely around you adds the serenity and snow white kinda feeling leh!

"Hi, My name is Queen and I live here" =)

The Villa & suites in Four Seasons provides you both sides of the world, traditional & modern senses. While the villas and restaurant built on old traditional tropical houses concept, they are equipped with hi tech gadget which you can't find in some of the city hotels!

Woo.. look how pimped the torchlight. Hurmmm wonder if they manage to pimp a laptop and Blackberry in a same way le?

Love everything to the bits. The toiletries are uniquely blend with bergamot, ylang ylang, ginger and all sort of natural stuff used for the spa treatment.

and outdoor soaking tub with a shower of a tropical rainfall alike!

Posing habis I tell u...

A total soul healing...

Bridge to Ilham pavillion. I saw a newly wedded having their wedding dinner in here. The resort staffs decorated this pavillion with candles and fresh roses... oh my.. it was so beautiful!

Four Seasons private beach. It was so quiet, as if you can walk naked in here.

The breakfast was awesome! They have the freshest wide range of local, english, japanese, arabic breakfast which spoilt me to the core. I was like in forever heaven when I manage to have my all time favorites - smoked salmon, buttered fishes, potatoes, sausage and fresh mango early in the morning!

I am not a Roti Canai fans.. I even hate them! Until...in Serai, Four Seasons yea.. I went for the 2nd round!

Awesome breakfast overlooking awesomely beach view.

Arabian night...

It's time for birthday wishes!
Dar bought me a birthday cake, and it turned out that Im ended with 2!
From dar,

Thank you to Four Seasons' staffs and management.. for giving me the best season of 2009. I always heart you :)
