Ola Pantai Timur~!!!

Begitulah perihalnya my post this time. It's is not about any batu or unfortunate event.. video above is just an appetizer, a teaser, an introduction to where I was for the last few days.. GANU KITE !! or to be more specific - Pulau Perhentian (Perhentian Island)..

It's not like KL not boiling enough until I have to find extreme maximum heat to scorch myself in an island, it is just.. I wanna feel the freedom of traveling to east coast beaches/island without thinking of "working outstation on sunday, with zero outstation allowance and yet u have to show up to your office 1st thing on Monday morning, plus the experience of waking up early on sunday morning, touring around hotel properties, try to remember every information of room category and its facilities while your boss still snoring in higher category room for sure" - urgghh ..nothing but civilized slavery momento!   

I already feel the heat when we arrived at Kuala Besut jetty at 5.30am. The orange-bluish skies greeted us and I spent for 30 minutes/ 30-40 frames or so to capture the magical transition which I never had before - complete with calm sea water and small fisherman's jetty by the bay.

Kata orang, kalau nak tengok cantiknya perempuan tu.. tengok bila dia baru bangkit dari tidur (some people says, if u wanna see the natural beauty of a girl, u should see her face right after she woke up from her sleep). These girls are the case of it, masked with no gloss or eyeliner, only morning sun. Wait until you heard how old they are..you would be more surprised... heh.

I totally underestimated waiter/ress in the east coast. I've made a mistake by saying "bagi saya jus nenas satu", & she was like "haaa?". I pointed at the menu & she looked at me with a serious face "oh, pineapple juice". :P I mean seriously! I tried to be as 'Melayu' as I can be in here ok? I don't want people think that I am snob city girl who couldn't leave my Manglish behind. Hadeii..

We met another couple of friends (newly wedded) and we're off to the island at 7.30am. Our group is small, consists of 6 people, but with variety status in it - honeymooners, dating couple and the singles!

Perhentian Island consists of 02 islands - small and big island. We stayed at CORAL BAY located at the west side of the Perhentian Kecil. The west side of Perhentian Kecil is a bit more calm & quiet (both water and surroundings) snorkel area just a few steps from the shorelines while at the east side is a bit more lively, wide sandy beach for sun bathing, more BBQ al fresco & clubs which operate till 3am. But the beach wave is too big and harsh for me someone like me.

Arrived at Coral Bay around 8.30am & it was to early for us too check in into our room since, u know normal procedure for check IN is 12am - 2pm. But we were lucky because my friend got some sort of 'extended' family here, at Coral Bei Bay Dive Centre.

So we lepaking here till we finally got our room..Actually, their shop aren't bad at all, I can stay around there forever (I mean during the whole stay.. not forever..FOREVER) considering the cool sea breeze that I can get compare to my room. This island mainly operated with gasoline generator (or was it petrol? idk!), so they opt to switch it off during the day and only switch it on only during the night time : (  Im so close to live like the series of 'Survivor' Pulau Tiga man...lol.

For those who loved to fuck make friends internationally, u can consider scuba diving as a hobby. It's healthy, adventurous and laid back compare to a bar hopping. French, swedish, japanese, germany, english, u name it.

Then u can play world map coloring : 1 man = 1 country. You may choose any color u want, above just a plain example. And u also can set your target like "I must color the whole world map before my pussy go soggy..at least before Im 35!!!" and declare it as your lifetime achievement.
Note: this is for "at least im doing it for pleasure, not for money" sms. Well, even if it was for money, but u did it when u  officially married to him..I don't see what's wrong with that. lol?

wildlife passes by freely in here. Good for the kids, you can teach them wildlife discovery lesson on the go.

I don't remember when I dozed off inside this hammock.. maybe Im too tired since I can't sleep inside a moving vehicle, so it means I didn't sleep for the whole 8 hours bus journey the night before.

until they woke me up at 1pm for our 1st islander lunch.

I don't see this when I was in Koh Samui, Thailand or Langkawi. But in Coral Bay, they have a lil bit of everything even tho' it is very basic. This book stall have at least 5-6 different language novels, books and light encyclopedias. I rent one by Shirley Jump - "The Bachelor Preferred Pastry". But manage to finish up till chapter 26. I jumped straight to the ending of the story on my way to return the book. And the story made me wanna buy my own electric oven and mixer once I arrives back to the city. heh

This is my lunch, I know, it wasn't very islandish. But it was so good til Im not sure am I able to find the same taste like this back in KL..

This is the freshest fish I ever had in my entire life! It was caught a few hours before it turn into this yummilicious fodder. I can't describe for the taste right.. crunchy but juicy? sweet good salty? It just melted in my mouth.. I DONT REMEMBER CHEWING IT!

To them, anything caught from the sea which is more than 5 hours is already considered "busuk" (spoiled). What the... then we city people eating on what term for those fishes and the rest of the sea creature from cold storage hypermarket ???

and it draws a lot of attention until all people for nowhere showed up to take pictures. I never took a close shot of a man performing a fire show before. It was HOT man. Im feeling hot and jumping like Im on monkey juice! haha.

Then they play a happy birthday song in a very Jamaican way!

Ocean breeze, campfire, good food, awesome crowd, the sound of acoustic guitar and djembe, circled by good friends, cheeky conversations :  It was the perfect night in life at random!

Yes, Im glad that I experienced it with u girls.. and thank you for showing me what's real, that my life wasn't that fabulous even in a cute dress attending cocktail party and sleeping on 5 stars hotel bed occasionally.

as the campfire ceased,  I walked to my cabin with nothing on my mind but glee. and I don't even worry to miss my breakfast tomorrow morning, because Im on real vacation.. not a hotel inspection!
