I was invited by a friend, who happened to be one of the rider in this drag race to see musc drag challenge competition in Cyberjaya. Along this time, all I know , drag is for those show for tranny in a night club, a drag queen. Nothing else. I was reluctant, this is totally not my thing, until my girlfriend convinced me that she will be there too since her bf's team will be competing too.
Ok, where should I start? Im just a girl with zero knowledge about this machine. In fact, I always asked the mechanic in the workshop to inflate my car's tires during my regular car services.. I also hardly wash my car and what the heck am I doing in here? I don' t have a clue..
And I don't think this is the right place for me to start learning to take the shots of speeding objects. Im suck at speed and light. I guess I really need to register myself into photog class. The heat, the speed, the noise of the beasts, not to mention hundreds of naughty attentive eyes towards those fat ass honeys, exasperate me. Im too old for this, but I tried to pull off the drag race - fans style like no other young girls would do. Pretending that.. Ima Queen of speed. Sheesh.
Starting with a still object, was so easy. Im quietly squatted down and and tried to find any possible interesting angle's.. But I cant do it too much since I sensed all eyes on me :P
I was talking about the possibility to have a pink wheel for a girly car look.. then I saw this candy colored wheels. It made me giggled because it was so cute. Then I found a cheezled color wheels, it gave me a good 'chi' to keep on walking further up under a great sunny heat, and hoping to find rainbow colored rims. Wtf.
This is my girlfriend of 16 years, after lost contact for almost 7 years, we reunite again and found out we are leading a same phase yet with different life experiences. At least she's better than me, cuz Im still single and lame. lol.
Girls in jeans. Perfect for Levi's advertisement. I was imagining that only men would come to this event. But hell no.. this is some kind of family weekend day out too. There were toddlers and and children around. So, this visit really changed my perception towards car race events. I thought it was only admired by the guys and those girls who try to find their 'street hero' with fancy cars.
Im rocking it. It appears that.. this is more sexier than a short skirt, minus the hoochie looks.
I came with this team, MH Tuner Motorsports which is located at section 26 Shah Alam. They are well experienced in 1.8 and Turbo car service (wtf what am I blabbering about larr), and the event like this is not a strange to them at all.
MH Tuner team, few minutes before the race, category 1.8, Proton. I was asking around about why race? While they spent more than 20 or 30k to built up the engine and yet the reward is only Rm700 for the 1st place? The answer I got was - "Hobby".
I was gulping my saliva when I came to know the real hobby of these big boys. This is certainly not for the one who earn penny! With their tag "Never Underestimate" really slap me on my face when knowing these preppy looking boys driving BMW, Skyline, Evo, Fairlady and even Ferrari? Gosh. I never saw so many fancy expensive cars lined up in my entire life unlike today...except in front of Sunway Pyramid shopping complex and certain clubs in town. No wonder those young girls are madly gaga over these boys and willing to become their toys. (not all.. some of them lo)
Another reason for this race is also to boost up the reputation and image of certain workshop. If they can win the race with their engine built up in those car, they can give their magic touch to yours too. How about that?
It was a mad sunny day. The heat was a bitched. But I still show my support towards the team unlike some other girls, came but stayed inside the car with air cond on for the whole day. Really looks like a stupid brainless barbie doll (the ugly ones, imitate, china made, cheap fabrics), show nothing but craves for attention and love from their boyfriend. I hope that they can cook and clean well, at least there is still a reason for their man to keep em'. I don't think spreading legs alone would help these days.
Some girls still don't learn when to stay put or to show some fun eh. Pity them.
I never been this sweet under an intensed heat. I think I enjoyed every moment with my friends and the rest of the team. The winning team!
Haha.. he drag too.. with his baby trolley. Lepaskan gian agaknya.
A day like this.. ice cream man made it big.
"We don't know who struck first, us or them. But we do know it was us that scorched the sky" ~ Morpheus, The Matrix.
Soldier for the winning team for 1.8 proton category. 1st & 3rd place. So they put another dime into the jukebox. Power to you!
Moved to Vtec category. They have many category that day.. even Kancil turbo category also was held. Dang.
I didn't stay until the end, because none of these cars were from the team I came with. Besides, a clueless audience like me wouldn't be so significant to this category. But my lil' brother told me this car who made it that night and let the others sniffed the dust. Ouch.
Since I didn't stay throughout the race, but I left my mobile to my lil bro to take the video of it. Enjoy!
and no, this won't make me go to watch Evolusi KL Drift 2. I rather go to beauty salon and enjoy my wax appointment.
Vroom out!
